AIX Revisited
It’s coming up to 3 years of MCR, and I have to say its been a blur of wonderful coffee experiences around town. I thought I would do a re-visit series and talk again about some of my favourite haunts. Those that know me, know that they can find me many a morning at AIX Crepery in Centre Way, the heart of groovy Melbourne coffee scene.
John and Mary, the owners there are a constant source of the local scuttlebutt on Degraves and centre way, and I guess what I love about it is that I can tuck away in the corner and enjoy some peace or even do a meeting or two (John complains but I know he loves it). The coffee experience at AIX is normally one of the best around town, simply because John is such a stickler for doing things in a consistent way (part of the key to a good Barista). So my Long Mac kick-off for the day is normally like an old friend. I love this place, it is quintessential Melbourne for me, and I am looking forward saying goodbye to summer and some wonderful cold wet days in early morning Melbourne.
By the way, I don’t know what’s going on, but MCR’s best day until a few weeks ago was in the realm of 270 unique visits,… we we did two days of 400+, including 428 yesterday… I have no idea why, I’ve been in deep parent land with my seldom wanting to sleep son. The coffee has been abundant, but the writing has been light. I make no apologies to readers with kids and I know you know… the rest.. I hope you find out!!
