The Melbourne Coffee Review

Melbourne has some of the grooviest places to have a coffee. But where is the best coffee? I've had coffee's across the globe, but to be sure, here in the CBD of Melbourne (Australia) we are a bunch of coffee snobs (especially in Collins Street), and do not suffer bad coffee well. 1 bean = bloody worth looking up, 2 beans = something extra ordinary here. 3 Beans = close to sex. These are my reviews for them that give a bean!! Peter Christo [Enquiries +61(0)412133363]

7 Grams, Church St Richmond.

I had a long mac at 7 Grams this morning. It was an impromptu thing as I was near by. I had been meaning to drop in myself to see what all the fuss was about. I have to say its a strange week because the hard core coffee folk of the Melbourne Coffee scene are recovering from the Vic Barista Championships from last weekend (to be discussed next post). I have to say the 7 Grams guys are hard core coffee dudes, and the coffee experience there is second to none. The head Barista there (Con, I believe is his name), made me an unforgettable Long Mac, one that will keep me pumping for a few hours yet. The venue is small but if its a good day, outside has plenty of room for a meet and a yabber. If you are within 3 km of 7 Grams, make your way there for your coffee. You wont be disappointed. Welcome to the 3 bean club lads!!
