Well here I was outside the iconic Melbourne Coffee Landmark, HBI!
The home of Ricky and Rita, who are the ultimate in Coffee connoisseurs.
This dynamic duo not only operate this respected and busy café, they advise, consult, train and teach one and all on all things coffee, from the budding home-barista to the inexperienced café hopeful, looking for both education and inspiration.
They hold classes, sell equipment, serve the locals lunch and above all prepare a devilishly delectable drop!!
One of Melbourne’s finest to be exact!
I ordered an espresso to begin the festivities and was treated to sensory bliss, my palate awash with a delicate fruity beverage that was both dense with hints of nuttiness and a citrusy finish.
This was followed by a café latte that was expertly prepared at perfect temperature and combination of espresso and milk.
The barista’s here are well trained and taught to not merely make coffee, but to create a masterpiece, each and every time.
