Cnr Benion Street/West Coast Drive

Trigg, Western Australia

IMG_2192

This is the fourth and last  in my series of northern coastal cafes from Trigg to Sorrento.

yelO is located on the iconic site where “Cleggie’s” tackle shop with the Marlin on the roof used to be.

It is just a stones throw from the famous Trigg Point surf break and the vista from the cafe takes you along the scenic  coast and  out to Rottnest Island and beyond.

This new kid on the block has a true surfing/coastal theme with a surf board room that has  a selection of boards for sale, local photographers have their works on display  adding  some vibrant colour to this innovative cafe.

yelO has a relaxed beachside ambiance and you can almost feel the sand between your toes and this place will rock during the summer months.

They offer a range of Bannister Downs quality dairy products, fresh produce, tasty foccacias and the cakes looked tempting for the hungry beachgoers and surfers.

Due to licence restrictions yelO can only serve their coffee in take away cups but this was no big drama in such a beachy and relaxed atmosphere.

The flat white I ordered arrived with nice silky microfoam and a good temperature. The Fiori espesso blend came through the milk nicely with  pleasant choc/caramel notes and pleasing aftertaste, definitely one of the better javas available along West Coast Drive.

Coffee by Kam and crew at Fiori

A refreshing new cafe serving tasty food and good coffee, a definate one beaner.
