I live locally and as much as I have tried to like this cafe, I can't. The food and coffee is good but the service is appalling. At first, I thought the rude service might be a product of being newly opened, but at subsequent visits over the last year, I see it is still the same. Such a shame.

Had brunch at MM's today, had been past on my bike many many times without realising what wonderment and magical laid back Sunday brunch (or bank holiday brunch) awaited inside. Two shiny round runny perfectly poached eggs on rye for him, and a toasted veggie flatbread for me with two perfectly feathered delicious coffees in cute cups. Great atmosphere, loved the magazine rack and the attention to detail. One tip for Brunswick folk, go! Thank god Melba's was shut today..!
