Vote for this Cafe now!

Oh boy Oh boy! Usually I’d start telling you about how fantastic my experience was, but I’m so excited I need to tell you about the coffee RIGHT NOW! Apart from this perfect flat white you see before you, complete with the finest rosetta, we must talk about the delicious crema of a perfectly extracted sensory lab espresso. Every shot extracted by master barista Eric takes a life of its own. Barista Erics exudes the utmost care with every shot ground, packed and poured. The result is an espresso so rich in body and a buttery texture that it fills and pleases your tastebuds. Nothing but crema baby!

Located directly opposite the Camberwell Market catching the warm afternoon sun, this cafe really has a bit of everything for everyone. Loaded with all the coffee aficionado could ever want or need, as well as quality tea, chai, soy and crockery! You will be sure to be greeted by the warm, friendly and attentive staff that are really going to make you feel welcome. A really lovely cafe and a delight to visit. Thanks Big Cup!

Vote for this cafe in Geelong

Geelong is making it easy and hard for me. Something amazing here,.. smack in an industrial estate, wafts the awesomeness of quality coffee roasting, reggae music and a bamboo lounge to mellow away the hrs if you choose to.

This unpretentious little place could easily be missed, but it would be to your detriment. My Long Macc, an Etheopian Harare was nutty, vibrant, bright and bloody delightfull. the crew here is highly caffinated, and if you are within Kooee of this place, I would make the journey here post haste.

What IS up? Has Geelong got a secret society of coffee entrepreneurs who are kicking more goals than the GFC or what? I kinda get the name now; a serious drinks session (its a bar at night) some years ago here into the wee hours, and now, I can get the amazing dulcet tones of St Ali coffee, sit and work on a roomy table. Mark the owner is on, what can be best described as a quest for gold. His venue is a lovely old building with intricate architecture and soft jazz ebbing through.

The barista knows what he is about, and my gripe around Long Maccs was not an issue here. The coffee was made well, not a hint of bitterness, with a sweet after taste. the golds like Mr Hyde, and I think you will too. Say hi from us!!

Fact: When I set out to review a cafe I let the gods of coffee guide me. Last week it was to the glorious Garden Tuscany, today I battled through traffic into CBD heading to one place, only to find my spider coffee senses tingling to keep walking. I did, from Flinders Street to Flinders Lane I went, and staggered into Breadmill. So far, all good, I had already opted to sit and mellow, and let the coffee beans fall where they may. “Pete!..” from the back of the cafe I hear a familiar voice from distant reviews circa 2005 when we had three readers per month not 30,000. Stu?,.. Stuart the Barista owned and managed a cafe at the Beirut side of Collins Street back in the early naughties. After the usual banter, I said, “Mate, no favours! what is up here? is the coffee any bloody good?” He smiled, and said “judge for yourself” but he did sell me on breaky. I sat and waited to be delighted. The first coffee of the day, as I am sure you will agree is critical to kick the day off right. Thankfully, what arrived was what I have come to expect from Genovese,..a descent and well made Long Macch, temperate and full bodied. The service was efficient (Stu disappeared into a frenzy of floor activity) and I was left to battle the wifi… which worked eventually. Thankyou coffee gods, or devils,.. whatever you may be!
