MGM Patisserie, MGM Grand Casino
Macau, China
After we enjoyed a scenic trip to Macau on the Turbojet ferry we boarded the shuttle bus to the MGM Casino and took in the grandeur of this magnificent establishment.
With lunchtime looming and our stomachs rumbling we went in search of some sustenance and a caffeine fix. We discovered the Patisserie in the foyer of the casino, the display of dainty cakes, fine chocolates and gourmet sandwiches had us salivating at the thought of dining upon these delights.
My wife and I decided on a gourmet ham with gruyere cheese sandwich and our son a Caesar salad, my wife chose a berry cheescake tart and I liked the looks of a strawberry torte cake and three capucinos were all ordered.
The food was served by a very friendly and efficient young lady, it didn’t disappoint and we enjoyed every morsel of the sandwich, salad and cakes.

The cappucinos arrived and looked quite presentable in rather large cups. The milk looked like the top of a milkshake and what I thought was chocolate sprinkled on top was actually cinnamon, the coffee was reasonable but no seconds would be ordered today.
We totally enjoyed our visit to this gamblers paradise and the lunch was excellent with good service in luxurious surrounds but I can’t award any beans for the coffee I’m afraid.
